I am an avid reader. Not quite omnivorous, but almost; I have gotten a large enough slice of the literary pie to begin noticing a few mildly disturbing tendencies. Tendencies which I intend to take a hand in correcting. In my adventures around the Internet, reading various fan-fictions and blogs (not to mention more than a few pirated novels), a trope has come to my attention that pertains more to the aspiring hopefuls and fervent fictional craftspeople of the web than the big budget authors with the editing departments of publishing powerhouses behind them.
